PARMA, Ohio -- The recently completed Valley Villas septic abatement project included the installation of 34 new sanitary sewers and sanitary connections.

“The city of Parma notified the Cuyahoga County Board of Health to officially send a letter to each homeowner that the sanitary is available for resident tie-in,” Parma City Engineer Hasmukh Patel said.

The work includes 20 systems on Valley Villas Drive from Sierra Oval Lane to Pleasant Valley Road, as well as seven systems on York Road north of Pleasant Valley Road to the Parma Heights line and seven more on State Road south of Pleasant Valley Road.

The $2.165 million project included $433,000 from the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) Member Community Infrastructure Program and $1,564,000 from the Environmental Protec
