MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - Two Northeast Ohio law enforcement officers pleaded not guilty after they were indicted for unlawfully detaining a man they called ‘illegal’ back in April 2024 at a bar.

Cleveland Police Detective Donald Kopchak and Portage County Deputy Daniel LaJack were indicted on the following charges last month in Medina County Common Pleas Court:

2 counts of abduction

Ethnic intimidation

Assault
