Parts of the Upper Peninsula will see rain Wednesday, Sept. 17, and some places also might post record temperatures.

" Some showers and storms could move over the area today (Sept. 17) as a cold front passes by," the National Weather Service in Marquette said. "Moving into Thursday (Sept. 18) to the end of the workweek, expect cooler temperatures with some showers possible over the far west."

A hazardous weather outlook is in place for potential thunderstorms in the UP Wednesday from afternoon to evening, mainly in the eastern UP, as strong winds, heavy localized rain and small hail could accompany the storms.
