NEWBURY — Local rescue pet owners will have the chance to meet those who brought their furry friends into their lives at Sweet Paws Rescue’s Barktoberfest on Oct. 18.

Sweet Paws Rescue, a local animal rescue non-profit has saved over 22,000 animals, with many being rescued in states like Mississippi and Alabama and transported to Massachusetts to find their forever home.
