Paul Rudd and Jack Black push Hollywood reboot culture to its snake-eating-its-own-tail (quite literally) extreme in the new trailer for Anaconda .

In this remake/reimagining/whatever-you-want-to-call-it of the 1997 action flick of the same name, Rudd and Black play Griff and Doug, respectively, a pair of flailing film lovers who have always dreamed of making their own version of the original Anaconda . When their efforts to secure a $2 million bank loan to finance the project are — unsurprisingly — denied, they decide to shoot the film indie style on a shoestring budget.

They hire a snake handler, a river boat, and head out to the actual Amazon rainforest where, of course, things quickly deteriorate after their large and creepy — but ostensibly non-lethal — snake is accidentall
