A shop called the 'best in Birmingham' has announced when its re-opening after an arson attack.

The charity shop remains closed since June 3 after a sofa was set on fire outside on the street.

The fire spread, causing damage to the shop, and West Midlands Police confirmed the incident would be treated as arson.

Located in Kings Heath , Sue Ryders is a charity shop that provides care for people suffering life-limiting illnesses and anyone experiencing grief.

After months of closure, the charity shop announced on social media it would reopen next month.

On Facebook, Sue Ryders posted: "Great news. We are reopening 22nd October.

"We have been closed since June 3 because of an arson attack."
