Long Covid could be associated with longer and heavier periods, according to new research.
While it has been acknowledged long Covid can be linked with abnormal uterine bleeding, it has been said it does not impair ovarian function, Nature Communications has found.
However, latest data seems to suggest those who have periods have reported changes to menstrual patterns when dealing with long Covid, in addition to changes in symptoms of long Covid during the menstrual cycle.
Research into this field comes as many still cope with the effects of long Covid, which is when the symptoms of Coronavirus last longer than 12 weeks.
