KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) — A Knox County sheriff's deputy stopped a silver Chevrolet Monte Carlo on Tuesday afternoon after clocking it at 89 MPH on State Road 67. The car was driven by 32-year-old Dustin Kemp.

Kemp initially provided a false name and date of birth. K-9 Uzzi was brought to the scene and detected illegal narcotics in the car. A search revealed a THC smoking device along with two glass smoking devices that tested positive for methamphetamine.

Authorities took Kemp into custody, and he was booked at the Knox County jail on multiple charges. These include possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, reckless driving, false reporting, and driving while suspended with a prior conviction.
