With each passing win, the Blue Jays are doing more than just putting themselves in a better position to lock up all the important checkmarks in a 162-game Major League Baseball season.

While those are the most important motives down the stretch of the season, the Jays are chasing franchise history.

First things first: There is a playoff position to lock up, then a chase for the division crown and, following that, securing one of the top two seeds in the American League.
