Scoring started early in the game at the South Huron Recreation Centre in front of a crowd of 370 fans, with Anthony Tudino of the Stars scoring just over a minute into play in the first period. Article content

Tudino’s goal went unanswered for most of the period until Exeter’s Carter Bowerman tied the game in the final seconds, assisted by Harrison Meulensteen and Danny Scott.
But Bowerman’s goal would be the only one for Exeter that night.
