Preparation for the Toledo Garmin Marathon Series on Sunday will close a downtown block Friday morning and three other blocks Saturday evening, the Toledo Department of Transportation announced.

Jefferson Avenue will close at 9 a.m. Friday between St. Clair and Summit streets, and at 6 p.m. Saturday between Summit and Water streets. The Saturday evening closings also will include Summit between Jackson and Monroe streets and Adams Street between St. Clair and Summit.

Detour routes will not be posted. Additional, short-term street and road closings will occur Sunday during the races.
