An Edmonds man, Alex M. Waggoner, 23, is scheduled to be sentenced Wednesday for the murder of rideshare driver Abdulkadir Shariif Gedi.

Waggoner was convicted after a dashcam video showed him firing 11 shots into Gedi's car on Jan. 3, 2024, following a near-collision.

Waggoner's defense claimed self-defense, but he later confessed to police that he "grossly overreacted."
