MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) — The YMCA is bringing the community together to honor local heroes during their First Responders Appreciation Day on Sunday, September 28.

The free event will celebrate law enforcement, firefighters, EMS, paramedics, 911 dispatchers, and other certified emergency personnel with a family-friendly pool party and cookout.

First responders and their family members can enjoy free outdoor pool access, hamburgers & hotdogs, live music, and fun games and activities for all ages.

The event will take place on Sunday, September 28 from 1 p.m.- 5 p.m.

The Hogan Family YMCA is located at 130 Park Square Ln, Madison, AL.
