Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones has been placed on injured reserve and will miss at least the next four weeks with a hamstring injury. That will cause Jones to miss the team’s game in Ireland against the Pittsburgh Steelers .

Jones has been the Vikings’ top running back, and with him out, Jordan Mason will take over as the top running back. The team is also re-signing Cam Akers as a depth piece for their future games.

In addition to Jones, it appears that J.J. McCarthy is likely to miss the team’s game against the Steelers, which would cause the Steelers to face Carson Wentz as the starting quarterback.
