The regular season gets started with a visit from the North Bay Battalion on Friday night at Sudbury Community Arena and there’s a pretty good chance the home side will be without top forwards Kieron Walton and Nathan Villeneuve, who have shuffled off to the Winnipeg Jets and Seattle Kraken training camps respectively. That fact alone is no big deal, really. Many teams will have at least one or two players who don’t make it back in time for the season opener. The concern for the Wolves is that after the home opener, their schedule gets prickly in a hurry.
