WATERFORD, Maine — A school van carrying a 6-year-old student was involved in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning at the intersection of Route 118 and Route 37 in Waterford.

It happened around 7 a.m., the Oxford County Sheriff's Office said in a press release. It involved a white 2023 Chrysler Pacifica van registered to MSAD 72 of Fryeburg, driven by 64-year-old Jane Lyons of Conway, New Hampshire, and a silver 2015 GMC pickup truck driven by 24-year-old Ayden Desanctis of Waterford, the release stated.

The child in the van was properly secured in a car seat and was not injured, officials said. No other injuries were reported.
