MOSS POINT, Miss. (WLOX) - A Moss Point bank destroyed by a tornado in 2023 is officially back in business.

Merchants and Marine Bank on Main Street held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its grand reopening on Wednesday morning.

The new bank on Main Street is on the same site as the one that was destroyed.

The 6,000-square-foot building only houses banking offices, but also features a 1,200-square-foot community room that can be used by outside groups.

“We are overjoyed to be back in here, in a facility that fully represents our commitment to the community,” said Chief Financial Officer Casey Hill.
