RANKIN CO., Miss. (WLBT) - A man has been sentenced to 40 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to sexual battery and gratification of lust of three children.

On January 14, the Pearl Police Department responded to a call regarding a child sexual assault victim.

During the investigation, Sonny Lee Jacob, 44, was identified as the suspect.

According to the Madison and Rankin Counties’ District Attorney’s Office, the child disclosed details of the sexual abuse by Lee.

Further investigation revealed Lee had sexually abused two other children as well.
