MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Medical College of Wisconsin is hosting a 12-hour diaper drive Wednesday, Sept. 17, with donations going to the Milwaukee Diaper Mission.

Organizers said one in two families in the United States experience a need for diapers. Justine Bates, a research regulatory specialist with the college, said the effort directly supports community health.

"This is incredibly important. It really contributes to the health of our community, it contributes to the mission of the Medical College of Wisconsin and giving back and it helps babies and toddlers get the supplies that are a basic necessity for the life that they need," Bates said.
