The Warren County Board of Supervisors are accepting applications from eligible Fork District residents to fill the vacant seat.

Fork District Supervisor Vicky L. Cook resigned on Sept. 3, almost four months before her term expires Dec. 31. Cook was not running for re-election. The appointed person would serve on the board until the term ends.

The county opened the application period on Wednesday. Applicants have through Oct. 3 to submit applications. Applicants must reside in the Fork District and meet all eligibility requirements. A completed application form and supporting documents must be submitted to the county administrator’s office online at https://warrencountyva.gov/273/Citizen-Appointments or in person at the County Administrator’s Office, 220 N. Commerce Ave.
