BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo Public Schools is moving forward with plans to close two schools by the end of this school year. On Wednesday night, the district approved the formation of a new committee tasked with deciding which schools will close.

The committee will be chaired by three school board members: Janita Everhart, Adrianna Zullich, and Sharon Belton-Cottman. Each board member will also select a representative to serve on the committee, ensuring a broad perspective in the decision-making process.

The superintendent will also assign staff members to support the committee’s work.
