DANVILLE — A career that started with the 1970s television show “Emergency,” came to a close on Wednesday for Captain Neil Yelenick of the Danville Fire Department.

Yelenick, who spent 26 years and 11 months serving the City of Danville, officially heard his last bell as part of a special “walk-out’ ceremony at Danville Fire Station No. 3.
