BUFFALO, N.Y. — The New York State Department of Transportation says it's starting over and conducting a full environmental study of the Kensington Project.

The DOT, during a Wednesday afternoon news conference, called this a reset. They're conducting a nationwide search for a new project manager, and every idea will be considered in this new environmental study.

You may remember that progress was halted in February when a judge ruled that the state did not do a proper environmental study and tried to move forward with a billion and a half dollar cap-and-tunnel plan for the 33. That was met with heavy opposition from the public, which successfully sued the state and forced that injunction.
