BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Livingston Parish Public Schools will get a portion of an over $34 million fund for a school impacted by the 2016 floods.
According to Sen. Bill Cassidy, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is giving the state $34,358,062.15, and the Delta Regional Authority (DRA) is giving $437,600 to support disaster recovery from Hurricanes Laura and Ida, as well as the 2016 floods. The DRA funding is from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
Livingston Parish Schools is getting $1,428,700.43 to fund temporary modular classrooms and campus facilities at Denham Springs Elementary.
