BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- Louisiana deputies arrested a Wisconsin man wanted on a domestic-related charge in Minnesota.

Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of suspicious persons at a Paincourtville retail business Tuesday. One of the two people was identified as Bruce Leighton Bennett, 66, of Washburn, Wisconsin.

A criminal records search found that Bennett was wanted on a charge of domestic assault involving strangulation in Minnesota. He was arrested and booked into jail, where he is being housed without bond pending extradition.
