A woman died in a fatal crash on Canal Street Thursday afternoon, New Orleans police said.

New Orleans police said they responded to the vehicle crash in the 0-10 block of Canal Street at around 1:48 p.m. A female passenger had been injured. Emergency Medical Services took her to a hospital. She was declared dead at around 4:17 p.m.

No arrests have been made or suspects identified, NOPD said. The coroner will release the woman's identity once family is notified.
