NISKAYUNA, N.Y. (News10) -- The deadly crash that took the life of 25-year-old Latham motorcyclist Christopher Reith on Route 7 in Niskayuna on Monday evening has left residents demanding improved safety measures from the State.

"We are depressed. Everybody in this neighborhood, we are looking for people from the State to come out and help us," said Henry Rashid, a Niskayuna resident who has lived on Randall Road for seven years. He noted that six deaths have occurred from accidents on Route 7 over the past three years.

Rashid witnessed this latest crash as it happened while trying to turn onto Route 7 from his street.
