BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - THE NEXT 24 HOURS: We finally have some green on the screen with spotty showers and storms moving south across the area. This is such a welcome sight as drought conditions worsen over Alabama. The chance for a passing shower or storm will continue through early evening, moving south. Otherwise, partly cloudy tonight with lows in the 60s.

It is feeling a bit more humid, and this will make for another very hot day on Thursday. I can’t promise much rain, but a stray shower or storm will be possible in the afternoon. High temperatures will reach the low to mid 90s.
