So, how is that supposed to work when China burns 40% more coal than the rest of the world combined? In 2023, Xcel shut down the coal-fired Sherco unit 2 which had a capacity to power 25% of Minnesota homes. Meantime, China is not shutting down its coal plants but is adding another 100,000 mega-watts of new coal capacity. They also have lots of wind and solar projects in place, too

I guess they need all that power to pack all our stores, homes and work places full of "Made in China" stuff.
