NORTH CODORUS TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) – Five officers were shot in southern Pennsylvania, state police said Wednesday. Three of the officers had died and two were in the hospital in critical but stable condition as of that evening.
The shooter was also dead, Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Col. Christopher Paris said.
In a press conference Wednesday evening, Paris said state police was not yet releasing the officers' identities or the agencies they worked for.
“We grieve for the loss of life of three precious souls who served this county, served this commonwealth, served this country,” Gov. Josh Shapiro said. "This kind of violence is not OK, we need to do better as a society."
