FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Avocado Lake is set to open after nearly a month, as firefighters clean up camp and head back home.
The Park was temporarily closed to the public on Aug. 26 to make way for a base camp for crews battling the Garnet Fire.
Now that the fire is nearly 90% contained, resources have been released, and the park is no longer needed.
The county says the park will reopen on Thursday at 7 a.m.
