Three law enforcement officers were killed and two others were injured on Wednesday in a shooting in the Codorus Township, Pennsylvania, State Police Commissioner Christopher Paris said.

The shooter is also dead, Paris told reporters in a press conference.

Officials said that multiple police officers had been shot in York County, Pennsylvania, today, and state and federal law enforcement agencies have converged on the rural community where the shooting took place.

Two people injured in the shooting were being treated at a nearby hospital, a hospital spokesperson said, though she did not say whether they were police officers. At least one person was transported to the hospital by helicopter, while another was taken in an ambulance.
