ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - At the intersection of Neal and Griffin Streets in Atlanta’s English Avenue neighborhood, homeowners are on edge.
Melvin McClure and others complained to the city about a number of homeless encampments which popped up in the community creating serious safety concerns.
“Lately we have had an influx of homeless population. They are building encampments. They’re engaging in activities on the streets that shouldn’t be allowed,” McClure said. “Degeneracy, drug use, inappropriate adult activities happening on the streets and the public right of way in front of homes, on properties, and we can’t get them removed.”
