A Brush Prairie woman who owns a mobile dog grooming business and breeds cocker spaniels is accused of keeping the dogs in deplorable conditions that led to their seizure and one being euthanized.

Lorinda Goudy, 62, appeared Wednesday in Clark County Superior on seven counts of first-degree animal cruelty. Goudy was set to be arraigned, but the hearing was pushed to Oct. 22.

Judge Jennifer Snider denied Goudy’s request to continue operating her business, First Class Mobile Grooming, while the case is pending. Goudy was also ordered not to have contact with animals.

Clark County Animal Control officers responded to Goudy’s property Aug. 8 after receiving a tip that dogs were being kept in a shed with no windows or air conditioning in hot weather, according to a probable cause affidavit.
