A Vancouver man was sentenced Wednesday to 10 years in prison for robbing multiple Clark County businesses while armed with a knife .

Shawn Short, 57, pleaded guilty in Clark County Superior Court to three counts of first-degree robbery, one count of first-degree attempted robbery and one count of second-degree assault that occurred in the spring of 2024 at Starbucks, Target, Walgreens and Rite Aid stores.

On April 8, 2024, Short entered the Starbucks inside the Salmon Creek Safeway at 13023 N.E. Highway 99 and brandished a large knife at employees, demanding money, which employees gave to him before he left on foot, a news release from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said.
