ACME, Pa. —

Officials said water and rescue dive teams have found the body of a man reported missing at Acme Lake in Mt. Pleasant Township on Wednesday.

Our news partners at the Trib said Westmoreland County dispatchers confirmed crews were called to the area of Acme Dam and County Line roads shortly after 1 p.m. Advertisement

Viewer video shared to Pittsburgh's Action News 4 showed multiple officials on the scene unloading equipment to be used in the search.

Kecksburg VFD Chief Adam Krozel told the Trib that an older man and woman were kayaking on the lake when the watercraft tipped over. He said a neighbor went into the water, swimming across the lake to try to reach the man, but could not locate him.

A woman who was also in the kayak made it safely to shore, Krozel said.
