While most parents trust long-time childhood vaccines such as measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and polio, many remain uncertain about the safety of newer vaccines, particularly those for COVID-19 and seasonal flu, according to a new survey by KFF.
The survey comes at a time when Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. questions the federal childhood vaccine s and raises doubts about safety and necessity. His actions—such as restructuring the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP)—have fueled debate among many in the healthcare industry, and more particularly parents who are already navigating conflicting information in the post-COVID era.
