KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - A Kershaw County man was found guilty Wednesday in the 2018 murder of his girlfriend.
Alexander Harmon was originally arrested in 2018 after his father, who lives in New York, called the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office to report Harmon.
Police went to Harmon’s residence, where they found the victim, 19-year-old Katelin Jordyn Crocker, dead from a gunshot wound to the head.
A shotgun as well as an empty bullet casing were recovered at the scene, and body cam footage from a deputy shows Harmon confessing to the shooting.
Harmon was initially released on a $150,000 surety bond following his arrest, but was charged after he failed to appear in court on Nov. 17, 2023. He was then arrested in Iowa on Jan. 25, 2025, and extradited to Kershaw County.
