NRL star Brandon Smith has appeared in the Southport Magistrates Court for the first time to fight drug supply and betting charges.
Queensland Police issued the 29-year-old South Sydney Rabbitohs player with a summons notice on August 20 for allegedly using or disclosing inside knowledge for betting, and supplying dangerous drugs.
Police alleged he supplied drugs while in Currimundi on Queensland's Sunshine Coast on June 7.

Brandon Smith is set to fight charges laid by Queensland police this week as the South Sydney Rabbitohs stand by him.
