COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) -On Wednesday, hundreds of students from Mesa Ridge High School chanted and held up signs protesting against gun violence in schools.
“Our biggest goal right now is to try to reduce the amount of violence in our schools in America, and across the globe,” said Mesa Ridge student Christian Harris.
Students at about 1:30 p.m. at Mesa Ridge packed the front lawn of the school in the hopes of bringing change to gun laws in order to make schools safer, including increasing penalties for those found with guns on campus.
