YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) -- A growing memorial was set up Wednesday night outside the Northern York County Regional Police Department.

Earlier in the day, a person shot five police officers in York County, killing three, who were serving a warrant. The suspect is now dead, and two officers remain in critical condition.

Pennsylvania State Police said it was not yet ready to release what department the officers were from, but it confirmed troopers were covering calls for NYCRPD after the shooting.

Mourners placed flowers outside the department, which officers celebrated opening just days before.
