EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- The East Hartford Police Department is asking for help identifying and locating a person who they said stole a truck belonging to a U.S. Army recruiter Wednesday evening.

According to police, officers were investigating a report of a stolen vehicle on Tuesday evening and found it on the 400 block of Main Street. The officers approached the driver, who drove away after backing into several police cruisers.

The truck was later found abandoned in Manchester. Police are still looking for the driver, anyone with information related to the incident or the whereabouts of the suspect can leave an anonymous tip with the department here.
