Corporal Mark Gregory of the Spokane County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) reported that the suspect has been taken into custody following the SWAT standoff near South Park Road.

The incident began around 12:30 p.m., when Spokane Valley deputies responded to reports of a male non-resident refusing to leave an apartment in the 7400 block of East Fourth Avenue.

According to Corporal Gregory, SCSO deputies identified the suspect as Isaac J. Tucker, 21, who had an active felony warrant from the Washington State Department of Corrections (DOC) after reportedly escaping community custody, and had previously faced an assault charge.
