HUTCHINSON, Kan. (KSNW) — The City of Hutchinson has issued a boil water advisory for residents in several neighborhoods after a water line break caused a temporary loss of pressure in the system.

The advisory, which took effect Wednesday, Sept. 17, affects customers in the Spyglass, Quail Ridge, Panorama, Lakeview, Hillcrest, Woodlands and Sandhills neighborhoods, the city of Hutchinson says. Prairie Hills Middle School is not included in the advisory.

City officials said the pressure loss raised concerns about potential bacterial contamination. Until the advisory is lifted, residents are urged to: • Boil water for one minute before drinking, preparing food, or using it for brushing teeth. • Use bottled water as an alternative. • Discard ice cubes and do not use ice from automatic
