DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Immigrant rights advocates in Southern California are calling for volunteers to help document U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement activity in real time.

The Save America Movement held a news conference on Wednesday to announce a new initiative called Operation Liberty, which plans to have trained camera crews and volunteers help capture the operations as they're happening.

Organizers have purchased three vans, which will be equipped with all the gear they need.

"We are also seeking lawyers, chaplains and veterans to bear witness with us as we work with rapid response networks in the community to document these activities," said Mary Corcoran with the Save America Movement.
