TRI-CITIES, Wash. – Four high school students from the Richland School District (RSD) have been named National Merit Semifinalists in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Emma Yuan from Hanford High School and Cameron Hornell, Victor Petyuk and Dylan Trigg from Richland High School achieved this honor by ranking in the top 1% of students nationwide on the PSAT/NMSQT, RSD announced.
These students are among the five National Merit Semifinalists from the Tri-Cities area.
To advance as National Merit Finalists and potentially earn scholarships, they will complete a detailed application, including an essay and recommendations.
Finalists will be announced in the spring of 2026.
