Disney+ has pushed an Apple TV app update that fixes the broken Match Frame Rate and Match Dynamic Range behaviour on Apple TV 4K.

Specialist publication FlatpanelsHD reports the fix arrives with Disney+ app v4.11.0.

FlatpanelsHD verified the fix by forcing the box to 4K/50Hz SDR and confirming the app now jumps correctly to 24.000Hz Dolby Vision, 23.976Hz SDR, 23.976Hz 4K HDR10 and 25.00Hz Dolby Vision, depending on the title.

On Samsung Smart TVs, Disney+ is once again streaming in 4K HDR10 after updating the app, according to the same testing.

The patch follows months of widely reported issues that broke frame-rate and HDR matching on Apple TV 4K and degraded 4K HDR playback on other platforms.
