BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - The Bryan Police Department (BPD) confirmed a weapon was found at the Mother’s Day Out (MDO) program at the First Baptist Church in Bryan.
According to an email sent to parents, a teacher found the concealed weapon inside an infant’s belongings. It was immediately confiscated and staff told police and church officials.
Bryan police later confirmed this news. BPD said officers were called to the school and temporarily took the gun. However, police said no crime was committed.
The MDO Director said in an email that the gun was mistakenly left in the infant’s belongings after it was carried into a store. The firearm was never in possession of the child, police clarified.
