CHERRY TOWNSHIP, Minn. – A garage fire is under investigation in St. Louis County after homeowners reported hearing “two explosions” before the fire broke out, according to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office.

The call came in around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 4000 block of River Road in Cherry Township.

After the homeowners heard the explosions, they “observed smoke billowing from their garage, which was not attached to the residence,” according to a news release.

Nobody was injured.
