WINDWARD OAHU, Hawaii (Island News) -- Honolulu police opened an attempted murder investigation on Wednesday following an attempted shooting and an attack in the Kahana Bay area.

Police reported that a 37-year-old and a 48-year-old man got into an argument on Sept. 17 at a nearby hospital. This led the older man to shoot at the victim; he missed then went on to hit the victim on the head with an object which knocked him out unconscious.

There have been no arrests made as this investigation remains ongoing.
